Father Day Presentation

Teachings of the Fathers~~~~

I found 9 different dates and reasons for Father’s Day—beginning in 14-15 centuries on March 19 in honor of St. Joseph; the list moves on to 1908 in W.Virginia, 1910 in Spokane, refused in 1911 by request from Jane Addams, again in Vancouver, WA 1912, more notice in 1915 by Lion’s Club, finally noticed by President Coolidge in 1924 on national level, but was not proclaimed as a holiday on 3rd Sunday until 1966 by President Johnson & finally 1972 as a national holiday by President Nixon—several different reasons for the early attempts—to honor their birthdays or their contribution to others and our country.  Many other countries celebrate on a variety of dates.

Focusing on our own fathers, we can acknowledge a wide range of character in each, concluding we are quite an interesting composite of our parentage—and as we grew & evolved, we determine our choices: to embrace, reject or renovate those childhood teachings.

Power of Word

Power of Word

My premise is that we are spiritual beings living a human life experience.  I believe we are a magical creation—each one of us—we are created from small seeds—imagine the beginning of time and our planet—and our own emergence into our world. Imagine the creation of words—words are powerful, soft, scary, strong, timid, brave, fearful, etc. DOWNLOAD… Continue Reading

The story tells of a group of thieves surviving after having stolen jewelry & other items from the homes & off the bodies of those who died. During their… Continue Reading

Soul Loss: Part 4 – Silence

Soul Loss: Part 4 – Silence

Question four brings us into sacred space to explore and embrace our spiritual essence. It leads us inward, to spend time in stillness, opposite to the world we race in. As long as we scurry, we may actually be running from our most valuable resource—internal or external. Take a moment to breathe deeply three times and… Continue Reading

Soul Loss: Part 3 – Stories

Soul Loss: Part 3 – Stories

Welcome to our 3rd exploration question regarding soul loss. Our traditional medical forum is trained to assess symptoms and prescribe an antidote. Our soul loss process assesses a deeper level of our existence—being acutely aware of our holistic framework—body does expose symptoms, our mind contributes & our soul suffers loss if we are not consciously… Continue Reading

Soul Loss: Part 1 – Voice

Soul Loss: Part 1 – Voice

Indigenous shamans or medicine men diagnosed sickness with questions of a holistic approach, including issues such as depression, sadness, lack of energy, motivation, etc. They understood that symptoms were not the cause, rather the pathway to the source or root of the sickness.  They were as concerned about the soul, as about the body and… Continue Reading

Opening The Way

Opening The Way

I have spent several years, speculating and pondering writing options, i.e., a book, a blog, poetry……and time keeps passing. It has finally dawned upon me that my dragging of feet is due to a pattern of comparison. I am fairly certain that I have not been alone with this onerous behavior and subsequent belief system that concludes… Continue Reading
